Christine Niero

Dr. Niero heads the Washington D.C. office for Professional Testing, Inc. and is a senior executive who brings over twenty years of experience in credentialing and non-profit management with a record of highly successful client outcomes. Dr. Niero has demonstrated skills and expertise in developing and implementing viable credentialing programs, policy development, establishing operational and governance structures, optimizing management functions, leadership development, strategic planning, standard setting and accreditation. Dr. Niero is an astute team builder, skilled leader and facilitator with the ability to bring together diverse perspectives.  She has conducted numerous audits for conformity with the global accreditation standard ISO/IEC 17024 Conformity Assessment—General Requirements for Bodies Operating Certification of Persons as administered by the American National Standards Institute, and has successfully guided several clients through the accreditation process, including the preparation of the application for accreditation and supporting documents, all resulting in successful accreditation decisions.

Dr. Niero is a leader in several organizations, including the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Conformity Assessment Policy Committee (CAPC), National Policy Committee (NPC) and  Governmental Inter-Agency work group, providing expertise on certification and testing.  Dr. Niero recently served as committee member and Vice-Chair of the Personnel Certification Accreditation Committee (PCAC) for the world standard for personnel certification, ISO/IEC 17024, and the ANSI Energy Efficiency Standardization Coordination Collaborative as an authority on workforce credentialing.  Dr. Niero currently serves as Director on the Association of Test Publishers (ATP) Board.
