Professional Testing Client Earns ANSI Accreditation

(ORLANDO, FL) The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) has awarded accreditation under ISO/IEC 17024 to the National Board for Certification in Dental Laboratory Technology (NBC), Certified Dental Technician program offered by the National Association of Dental Laboratories (NADL).

Professional Testing, headquartered in Orlando, Fla., develops and administers the Certified Dental Technician exam. For more than 30 years Professional Testing has worked to establish credible examination and certification programs through procedures that meet the rigorous ANSI requirements of reliable, fair and balanced programs. 100 percent of Professional Testing clients who have sought ANSI certification have met these high standards.

"ANSI accreditation is a major achievement and we are pleased with the work we have done for NADL," said David Cox, President Professional Testing. "All Certified Dental Technicians can be proud knowing their certifications meet the highest standards as set forth by ANSI."

The Dental Technician certification is the professional standard used in dental laboratory technology. This designation represents specific levels of education and experience, successful completion of examinations and compliance with continuing technical education requirements. Because the program is voluntary, certification represents a special personal commitment to quality and professionalism in the Dental Technology field.

"This is a significant milestone for our Certified Dental Technician program," said Chairman Bart T. Donnel, NBC. "Professional Testing ensured test development, exam security and psychometric analysis met the stringent requirements of ISO/IEC 17024 and were instrumental in this achievement."
